Zamboanga famed Pink Sands

Even before came the famous resorts in Boracay, and the highly priced get aways of Palawan, there already was the Pink Sands Island of Sta Cruz, this two islands, ( named big and small islands ) can be reached from Zamboanga city thru boat either a ferry or a local bangka or sailboats used by fishermen for a living. Its rare pink sand beach stretches to up to three miles! Thus this considered the island rare, around the world there are few beaches that have the same kind of pink sands like in Horsehoe bay in Bermuda, Culebra in Puerto Rico, Maui in Hawaii, Santurini in Greece and Crane beach in Barbados. Pretty awesome huh?!
Now where on earth does this pink sands came? the number of red organ pipe corals that nestles on the oceoan floor of thw islands is the culprit, and these corals too are considered to be unique.

A tourist destination that offers an array of fun activities for the whole family, and for all ages. Located at Barangay Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich Bukidnon, Dahilayan Forest Park is nestled at the foot of Mount Kitanglad 4,700 ft. above sea level. Forest Park was built with the vision of helping develop the tourism industry in Bukidnon and the whole Philippines as well.

Dahilayan Forest Park is located 4,700 feet above sea level and is about a 1½ hour drive from Cagayan de Oro City. There are regular flights and ships from Manila and Cebu to Cagayan de Oro (CDO). From CDO take the BuDa (Bukidnon-Davao) Highway then turn right on the Alae Junction (which is about a kilometer past the quarantine stop). Sacred Volcano

Climbing to the summit-crater of Mt. Kanlaon is an exhilarating exercise, and a physically challenging undertaking as well as a “memorable wilderness experience”. The climb, which is nothing more than practical trekking through the tropical wilder-ness of the Park environment, offers the visitor an insight and perspectives into the intricate workings of nature, The beauty of the mountain’s natural environment- with exotic flora and fauna, awesome geologic and other natural features of great interest, have been widely noted for their scientific, educational, and recreational importance, as well as its historical, cultural, artistic and aesthetic values. For these attributes, Mt. Kanlaon has been found and identified to possess all the necessary pre-requisites required for its status to be considered and declared as a National Park on August 8, 1934 by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 721. I am no climber nor a trekker but would love to really try this one out, besides i am from originally from Negros, this makes my negrense blood really proud to have such a beauty for a volcano.

(Artocarpus odoratissimus) : Marang Fruit

Marang is probably native to the Borneo in South East Asia. It is found growing there wild. This fruit is however, widely cultivated in the Philippines. It has been introduced in Australia, Brazil and some other tropical countries now.The large fruit is esteemed for the sweet, juicy, aromatic perianths surrounding the seeds, which can be eaten fresh or used as an ingredient in cakes.

Many people rate this fruit better in taste and flavor than jackfruit. However, it is the seeds of marang which have a very high potential. The seeds when roasted, taste like chestnuts. Each fruit contains about 100 seeds each weighing about one gram on an average. Young fruit are also cooked milk and eaten as a curried vegetable. The scent reminds some of the durian but is not so intense, and is in the thick skin and not the fruit pulp. The taste has hints of a mild creamy, almost juicy banana, and is best when not allowed to ripen thoroughly on the tree. Those ripened on the tree turn a more brownish color and will eventually fall to the ground and easily split open.

Men as the stronger sex

Tough. Resilient. Macho. These are just few words to describe a Man. How tough are they really are? are they really the stronger sex? but have we not gave it a thought that they too feel less macho and weaker at some point of their manly lives? like when a man just had a break up, or lost his job, or probably lost a loved one? they too cry, feel lonely and helpless. Should they be ridiculed when these moments happen to them? should they be lamented as fags when they cry out in public? or be called weak when they show affection to their partners? ( saying i love you in public for one ) these does not make them less strong, but otherwise. Crying does not mean a man is weak, i look at it otherwise. He is strong enough to face his emotions, and he should not be least be ashamed of it. Real men, strong or not, has real feelings. heads up fellas ^_^

Emotional Quotient versus Intelligence Quotient

EQ versus IQ which do you prefer? As a parent, i wish for only one thing that my son will grow up to be one intelligent, smart and kind person someday. The question now lies, how will I be able to nurture both sides of the quotients? True that i would love to go on stage and tag that ribbon on my sons every recognition day or perhaps be yelling my hearts out during his piano recitals, be uploading his report cards picture with above average grades on any social media, but on the other hand, i would love to see him grow to be a loving son to his family, a sensitive partner to his future wife, a good listener to his future children, a respectful man to anyone that surrounds him. I know it might sound greedy and all, but i wish i can have both of the quotients on my son. I mean who doesn't right? Studies shown that an a fetus at 4-5 weeks old in the uterus has a developed sense of hearing, playing music while at 4-5 weeks pregnant can already start developing your unborn child's IQ, well this can be a good start. I have done this with my son played music at the wee hours of the morning , and this soothes him and stops his squirming, I have stayed away from ALL caffeinated food or beverages for these are vaso constrictors ( it constricts the blood vessels thus limits the blood supply very much needed for brain development ) ate fruits and took a lot of vitamins. From day one of his extra uterine life, i nurtured my sons IQ, reading books, playing nursery rhymes both audio and video, and constantly talking to him ( no baby talks please! ) Until one day hes able to reciprocate things that i do to him, currently, i am on the process on nurturing his EQ in time i will get there, as of the moment my day begins and ends with his I LOVE YOUs and suffocating HUGS, and I am not any bit complaining about it! ^_^

Long Distance Relationship

LDR as its fondly called thru its acronym, Long Distance Relationship. some would believe that it is possible, some would say it wont, but what really is the difference between an LDR and not? DISTANCE. yes its true that distance may hinder the growth of a relationship, but have we not given it a thought that like any other relationships, LDRs are no different? it has the same ingredients of an up close relationship there are 2 people in love, who keeps an open line of communication , who has trusts issues, who has insecurities, who has fun with each other, grows together as a couple and the list goes...come to think of its no different from any relationship. We just have to deal with distance. That distance is just a word. nothing more, nothing less ...

How is energy transferred by wave motion?

How is energy transferred by wave motion? A vibrating source in a meduim is essential to the creation as well as transmission of mechanical waves. The meduim can be solid, liquid or gas. All types of mechanical waves- whether in spring, in water or in the air - are characterized by the transfer of energy from particle to particle of the medium. Energy from finger was transferred to the toy boat through the vibrating particles of water; hence the motion of the toy boat followed the movement of your finger.

Besides water and spring waves, other types of waves are sound, light and electromagnetic waves. Water, spring and sound waves are called mechanical waves, while light and the rest are referred to as electromagnetic waves. Unlike mechanical waves, electromagnetic waves need no meduim for their transmission.

Sound and light waves carry energy to yours ears and eyes. These waves allow you to hear and see. Sound waves carry the energy of the vibrating strings of the guitar to your ears. Light waves transfer energy of visible light to your eyes. They also carry energy from the sun to the earth. Other electromagnetic waves like radio waves and microwaves transmit signals from the radio and TV stations to your radio and TV sets.

Generally, all waves have several common features. Firstly, a wave does not transfer matter from one place to another. Secondly, a wave transfers energy. And thirdly, it transmits messages to facilitate communications.

Thus, a wave is a traveling disturbance that can transfer energy and information but no matter.

God knows when we are thirsty ( Short Story)

Nine year-old Joey had hoped to win a new bike for selling the most magazine subscriptions in the school fundraiser. He worked for two weeks going door-to-door in his neighborhood. Joey was quite disappointed when he finished third in the contest.

His dad tried to encourage Joes as he taught him a lesson on perseverance. "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade," Dad said.

Joey took his words to heart and decided to set up a lemonade stand in his front yard to earn money for the bike. His best sales came though when his Grandpa helped mount a portable stand on joey's red wagon so he could take it right to where people were thirsty.

After selling to neighbors working in their yards and to kids playing at the park, Joey earned enough money to buy his dream bike.

Jesus knew where thirsty people were also. He went to the city and told anyone who was thirsty to come to Him and drink.

He offered eternal life to those who believed in His name. He gave himself as living water to the thirsty of the world.

Jesus knows where thirsty people today, too. If your cup has never been filled with salvation, come and drink. If your life needs refilling, know that Jesus follows you wherever you go and He is ready to fill your cup.

Wedding Wonders

Only the bride was more beautiful than the flower in a lovely seaside ceremony highlighted with Mediterranean culture. The couple had lived near each all their lives and now would be husband and wife. After weeks of preparations, nearly the entire village attended the customary week-long celebration.

The reception was held both outside and inside to accommodate the many guests. Both side of the families and friends enjoyed the food and fellowship.

Unfortunately, as with most weddings, few things did not turn out as planned. There was a rip in a tent that had to be sown, one of the scheduled singers had a sore throat, and the wind kept snuffing out candles.

Then a special visitor was asked to help solve a shortage of wine for the guest. At first, involving Jesus with a wine problem did not seem to fit into His purpose, but later Jesus knew in His heart that it was the right time to help.

Jesus had the servants fill six stone water jars with water. The host was blessed by the jars now miraculously filled with new wine, which impressed all the guests.

Jesus did not plan to bring attention to himself as the celebration was for the newly wedded couple. God has chosen this wedding for His Son's first miracle and the start of His ministry. Jesus has been offering miracles of new life ever since.

About Me

I am a simple mother of one super loving son who simply wants to be a supermom to him, a daughter who loves my parents endlessly, a sister to four equally crazy but caring siblings, a good friend who responds to a friend in need, and a headstrong career woman who embraces life’s daily surprises.
